DF extensions and add-on modules: multi-disciplinary approach

At Winkels Techniek there is a strong focus on innovation. We invest large sums in various new developments. We are currently a member of Innovatieplatform Twente, in which we are the sole representative of the installation engineering industry in the IDF workshop. This stands for Industrial, Dismantled, Flexible construction.

Pioneering’s IDF workshop is working on developing IDF extension and add-on modules which can improve the spatial, energy and material performance of the total lifespan of existing and new buildings. This development is a case for a comprehensive approach to sustainability aspects such as energy, materials, cost-savings, comfort and social durability.

Multi-disciplinary consortium
Extension and add-on modules are being developed in a multi-disciplinary consortium in which Winkels Techniek and other companies participate. These modules will first be applied to existing buildings in 2011.
